For the day that needs colour before coffee — a tall, sun-struck arrangement of orange heliconia and red ginger rising over yellow and red roses, orange spray roses and lavender hydrangea, with a spray of purple dendrobium orchids spilling off the front and blue delphinium and white lilies coming up behind, framed by broad tropical leaves in a leaf-lined glass cube. It reads like a Caribbean morning: the heliconia and ginger give it height and heat, the roses and hydrangea keep it full and soft underneath, and the orchids get the last word. Tall enough for an entry table or a counter, wild enough that nobody mistakes it for the usual. Built around heliconia, rose, spray rose, hydrangea, dendrobium orchid, delphinium & lily. Every piece is built by hand the day it leaves the studio, so no two are identical. If the market does not have a stem at its best that morning we substitute something equal in colour and quality, rather than send a flower we are not happy with.

We hand-deliver from our studio at 1077 Willis Ave, Albertson to Roslyn, Manhasset, Great Neck, Port Washington, Garden City, Mineola, Williston Park, Westbury, New Hyde Park, Carle Place, Old Westbury and East Hills and the rest of Nassau County, Queens and western Suffolk. We are not a wire service — your order is never handed to another florist.
Change the water every couple of days and take half an inch off the stems on the diagonal each time. Keep it out of direct sun, away from radiators, and off the fruit bowl — ripening fruit gives off ethylene and shortens a vase life faster than anything else in a kitchen.
